Bakers Baking Powder

Description : Baking powder containssodium bicarbonate, cream of tartar base and acid as respectively, and cornstarch. As the base and acid react immediately with the addition of water, cornstarch is added to absorb the moisture and prevent premature activity.

Uses : Baking powder is used in batters of: cookies, cakes, pastries, pies, quick bread, etc. It makes cake heavy or sunken by forming carbon dioxide while baking.
