INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
2 tsp oil
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 to ½ tsp grated garlic
½ cup yoghurt
½ cup + 2tsp like warm milk
5 to 6 garlic cloves
¼ cup coriander leaves
3 tsp butter
Kalonji seeds
Some yeast
Making the Naan Dough:
Naan Dough is generally stretched by hand and does not require the use of a rolling pin. To prepare the dough you need to add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, sugar and garlic into a large bowl and mix it. Don't forget to add yeast! Stir it and add oil, yoghurt and Luke warm milk. Knead the dough by adding in warm milk as and when it's required. Do this until it's soft and pliable. Cover it for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Divide it into 6 small parts.
Meanwhile the garlic cloves and coriander leaves. Melt butter and set aside all of these along with kalonji seeds.
Rolling the Naan:
Flour the rolling area. Roll and stretch the dough to an oval shape. Sprinkle toppings and flatten it. Toast it on a grill or tawa and serve!
