The first dish that pops into our mind when we think of a healthy model diet is salad. Try out this Bombay Salad recipe. It just takes 20 minutes to make!
Alphonso mangoes, a specialty of Bombay, are used to make this salad.
For this you will need:
2 cups boiled long grain basmati rice
1 cup ripe mango, preferably alphonso mangoes finely chopped
½ cup capsicum - finely chopped
1 tomato - deseeded and finely chopped
1 spring onion -finely chopped
For the dressing you'll require:
4 tbsp oil
2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp vinegar
½ tsp pepper powder
¼ tsp mustard powder
½ tsp salt
Pour all the ingredients of the dressing in a tight lid bottle and shake well till thick. Then mix all the other ingredients of the salad in a bowl. Pour dressing over the salad and mix well. Serve it cold :)
